I’ve toed a line. Kicked up enough sand, but I still can’t understand your absence over water seeking land. I thought you’d be there. I hoped you would. Hawk in my head lead me straight back to the woods. Relate until we’re tired, or roam until we’re humble. It was early into our love. We got scared and became honest. Did it go missing? Or have we lost it. It’s nothing on you, but this weight won’t carry. Was love there in those dark days when we needed it, like I need it now? I’ve toed this line. Got it wrong so many times, but I still can’t understand. We’re in this together. I thought you’d be there. I hoped you would. Hawk in my head lead me straight back to my girls. We relate.
